The rebellion continues this November as BBC Studios brings the complete third series of classic science-fiction drama Blake's 7 to Blu-ray in an extensively remastered six-disc collection.

In the aftermath of the devastating Galactic War, the Federation has been left badly weakened and the Liberator severely damaged. More significantly, Roj Blake is missing.

With the crew scattered and their future uncertain, Kerr Avon (Paul Darrow) increasingly finds himself at the centre of events as the surviving fugitives attempt to reunite and continue their struggle against the Federation. But the Liberator's crew is changing.

Weapons expert Dayna Mellanby (Josette Simon) joins the resistance after encountering Avon on the isolated planet Sarran, while hot-headed pilot Del Tarrant (Steven Pacey) becomes another new arrival aboard the Liberator.

Together with Cally (Jan Chappell), Vila Restal (Michael Keating) and the ship's computer Zen (Peter Tuddenham), the newly formed crew faces a galaxy transformed by war. The Federation may have been weakened, but it remains far from defeated.

Servalan (Jacqueline Pearce) has emerged from the conflict more powerful than ever. Now President of the Federation, her determination to capture the Liberator and obtain its enormously advanced technology places Avon and his companions firmly in her sights.

Across thirteen episodes, the crew encounter new enemies, hostile worlds and increasingly dangerous situations as they attempt to survive beyond the Federation's reach. Their adventures take them from the volcanic world of Obsidian to the mysterious artificial planet Ultraworld, while Avon's past returns to haunt him when an old enemy resurfaces with a very personal reason for wanting revenge. The series ultimately builds towards a dramatic confrontation that would once again fundamentally change the direction of Blake's 7.

Now the complete third series has been newly remastered for Blu-ray as the BBC continues its extensive restoration of Terry Nation's science-fiction series. All 13 episodes have been newly remastered from the best available sources, presenting Series Three in its best-ever home-entertainment quality. Viewers can also experience the episodes in a very different way, with brand-new optional updated visual effects available across every episode.

The original effects remain available for those wanting to experience the programme as originally broadcast, while the new versions provide an alternative presentation created specifically for the Blu-ray collection. The six-disc set is also accompanied by hours of newly produced and previously unreleased supplementary material.

Blake's 7: The Collection - Series 3 will be released as a six-disc Blu-ray box set 23rd November 2026 by BBC Studios Home Entertainment.
