Adam Garcia and Rosario Dawson star in this hilarious dot.comedy of errors co-written by acclaimed screenwriter Jon Favreau (Swingers, Made). The First $20 Million comes out to rent on DVD & Video on 7th June 2004 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Set in the dot.com boom of the mid-1990s, Andy Caspar (Garcia; Coyote Ugly, Kangaroo Jack) is a young marketing exec with a larger-than-life salary, fast car and beautiful girlfriend. Despite all this, Andy still feels unfulfilled and decides he wants to do something more meaningful with his life. He quits his high-flying career in favour of a job at La Honda Research Institute in Silicon Valley, a technology ‘think tank’ where scientists and analysts conjure up the next big thing.

However, instead of landing on the revered Team Titan, reigning supergenius Francis Benoit (Enrico Colantoni; Galaxy Quest, Stigmata) assigns him a seemingly impossible project – creating the world’s first $99 laptop computer. Scrambling to fill the slots on his crew, Andy assembles a group of social misfits including super-hacker Salman (Anjul Nigam), shy and overweight Tiny (Ethan Suplee) and germ-phobic Darrell (Jake Busey).

With added inspiration from Andy’s new love interest Alisa (Rosario Dawson; Men In Black 2, Alexander), the team pull together and get closer to success than anyone predicted. However, when Benoit forms a plot to steal their work the group must fight to save their integrity, and their invention, from exploitation.

Based on the best-selling novel by Po Bronson, The First $20 Million is rich with laughs and side-splitting sight gags. Directed by Mick Jackson (Volcano, The Bodyguard, LA Story), The First $20 Million proves anything is possible if you believe in yourself and your friends… no matter how strange they are!
